Obituary for Wayne G. Berry
WAYNE G. BERRY, 78, of Moline, IL, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport, IA. Wayne was born January 25, 1936, in Lebanon, MO, to Grant and Ona (Long) Berry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He married Patty Renkes in 1964 in Buffalo, IA. He later married Diane Rae Letcher on June 26, 1982 in Fulton, IL. She died November 27, 2013. Wayne was employed by Alcoa in Riverdale, IA, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed yardwork, riding his motorcycle, spending time with family, and watching his grandson racing BMX and his granddaughter"s gymnastics. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa (Jason) Nickols of Moline, IL; two grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Nickols; two sisters, Wilma Smith of Columbia, MO and Lorene Wolman of Mexico, MO; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Diane; and one brother, Lloyd Berry.
