Obituary for Verna Larson
VERNA LARSON, 93, of 101 Randall Drive, Morrison, IL, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL. Verna was born October 21, 1917 in Fairhaven Township, IL, to Henry and Lena (Schultz) Radatz. She was educated in the Center School of Clyde Township, IL. She married Kenneth T. Larson on February 5, 1938 in Clinton, IA. He died October 6, 2000. Verna farmed along with her husband in the rural Morrison area and was employed by General Electric in Morrison for 15 years. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison and the church"s WELCA. Verna enjoyed sewing and being a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Esther Hook of Wenona, IL and Marjory Mulnix of Wentzville, MO; one son, James (Barbara) Larson of Morrison, IL; nine grandchildren, Marcia (Steven) Flahaven, Laura (Gary) Sunken, Craig Hook, Kevin (Beth) Hook, Amy Mulnix, David Mulnix, Heidi (Tim) Prouhet, Polly (Larry) Colozza, Matthew (Tina) Mulnix; three step grandchildren, Marc (Pam) Regenwether, Michael (Tracey) Regenwether, and Melissa (Darron Evans) Regenwether; sixteen great grandchildren; ten step great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; two sons-in-law, Ersel Mulnix and Dan Hook; and one sister, Helen Johnson.
