Obituary for Theodore Ted Venhuizen
THEODORE "TED" VENHUIZEN, 90, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison, IL. Ted was born September 27, 1922, in South Bend, IN, to Fred and Grace (Klimp) Venhuizen. He served in the United States Army. Ted married Marjorie R. Buikema on July 27, 1951, in Morrison, IL. He was employed by General Electric in Morrison as a tool and die maker, retiring in 1988. Ted was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Marge Venhuizen of Morrison; one son, Rick (Sherry) Venhuizen of Morrison; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Monica Venhuizen. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Clara Venhuizen in infancy; Clara Venhuizen, Grace Zust, Lena Brackemyer, and Clara Hamstra; four brothers, Pete, Tom, William "Whitey", and Fred Fritz" Venhuizen.
