Obituary for Terry E. Peck
TERRY E. PECK, 75, of Prophetstown, IL, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Windsor Manor in Morrison, IL.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown, IL preceded by a visitation from 12:30 PM until the time of the service. Rev. Mark Meyers, pastor of Prophetstown United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown.
Terry was born August 24, 1942, in Galesburg, IL, to Doren and Opal L. (Toops) Peck. He was educated in the Abingdon grade schools and attended Abingdon High School in Abingdon, IL. He married Elaine Voorhees on November 8, 1975, in Abingdon. She died on January 31, 2018. He first worked at the Abingdon Pottery and later at Penberthy in Prophetstown, IL. Terry played fastpitch softball as pitcher and enjoyed bowling. He was an avid golfer where he had a hole in one. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Memorials to Unity Hospice and Windsor Manor have been established.
Survivors include one daughter, Kelly (Gary) Buck of Prophetstown, IL; tw o grandchildren, Rachael (Matt) Robinson and Matthew (Melanie Schutz) Buck; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Bentley Buck; Dylan and Landon Robinson; and one sister, Donna (Mike) Woodward of Abingdon, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents: wife, Elaine and one brother, Kenneth Peck.
