Obituary for Tammarra Colleen Hinrichs
TAMMARRA COLLEEN HINRICHS, 58, of rural Sterling, IL, passed away peacefully, at her home, with her family by her side, on Saturday, November 25, 2017, after a three year courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.Tam was born October 6, 1959 to George William Bill and Carol Jo (Tenboer) Fisk of Prophetstown, IL. She grew up in rural Prophetstown and graduated from Prophetstown High School in 1977 and then attended Sterling Cosmetology School and received her Cosmetology license. She married Daniel Neil Hinrichs on July 26, 1980, at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church. She worked at Clip and Curl in Sterling for several years before staying home to raise her family and farm beside her husband for 20+ years. She did hair at home before returning to work after her children were older. Tam worked at Caseys in Milledgeville for a few years before becoming a pharmacy technician at CVS in Sterling for the last 16 years. She really enjoyed working with the customers, her co-workers, and her regular hair ladies. She loved doing hair and talking with her clients. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Jordan on Route 40 and enjoyed playing bells a few years with the Coleta Methodist Church in Coleta, IL. She was an amazing cook and baker, always bringing treats and desserts to work or events. She loved crocheting and recently watching the Hallmark channel. She loved going to farm shows with Dan, children, and grandchildren. She really enjoyed the Half Century of Progress Show, Pennefield, Farm Progress Show, World Dairy Expo, Badger Steam and Gas Show and many others.She is survived by her husband, Dan of 37 years; her two children, Abbie (Shawn) Heid of Pearl City, IL and Josh Hinrichs of Sterling, IL; her two grandchildren, Elmer Joseph Heid and Nora Mae Heid; two brothers, Tim R. Fisk of Prophetstown, IL and Tom B. Fisk of Rockford, IL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, an aunt, two uncles, a cousin, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.
