Obituary for Steven J. Shaner
STEVEN J. SHANER, 60, of Morrison, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Morrison Community Hospital.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2021, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Cremation rites were accorded.
Steven was born on April 13, 1960 in Chicago, the son of Donald and Lorraine (Keller) Shaner. He married Karen Adamec on June 14, 1986 in Downers Grove. Steven was employed as an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad in Clinton, IA for 24 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and camping, but most of all he loved his family.
Survivors include his wife Karen of Morrison; two daughters, Julianna Inman of Amboy, and Jacqualyn Shaner of Dixon; two sons, Justin (Michelle) Shaner of Rock Falls, and Jeremy Shaner of Morrison; one brother, Donald (Gail) Shaner of Winnebago; two nieces, Courtnay Brand of VA, and Heather Shaner of Peoria; one nephew, Donald Shaner of Winnebago; cousin, Michael Sikowich of Naperville; and six grandchildren, Alexis, Makayla, Anastasiya, Addison, Derbie, and Christopher.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandmother; and mother-in-law, Roseline Adamec.
