Obituary for Shirley E Eads
SHIRLEY E. EADS, 78, of Prophetstown, IL, died Monday, April 26, 2021, at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling, IL.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown with Rev. Father Antoni J. Kretowicz, pastor of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Prophetstown, officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown. A memorial has been established by the family.
Shirley was born December 18, 1942, in Elizabeth, IL, to Ralph and Coletta (Wand) Koehn. She attended Prophetstown High School and graduated in 1960. Shirley married James W. Eads on July 30, 1960, in Prophetstown. She worked at Casey’s General Store in Prophetstown for over 20 years. Shirley was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. She bowled in a bowling league and enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; two daughters, Lisa Barnes of Dixon, IL, and Lori Coppotelli of Prophetstown; one son, Duane Eads of Sterling, IL; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Ann (Jerry) McClellan of Lyndon, IL; Nancy Koehn of Dixon, IL; Debbie (Ray) Imler of Dyersville, IA; and Margie Koehn of Dixon, IL; two brothers, Donald (Vicki) Koehn of Prophetstown and Gary Koehn of The Carolinas; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mark Eads; and one sister, Connie Jackson.
