Obituary for Sherry L. Schwartz
SHERRY L. SCHWARTZ, 75, of Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at MercyOne Medical Center Clinton, in Clinton, IA.
Funeral services are private. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.
Sherry was born November 20, 1943, in Morrison, to Isaac “Ike” and Lucille R. (Habben) Hook. She attended the White Pigeon School in rural Whiteside County, and was a graduate of Morrison High School. She later earned a CPS – Certified Professional Secretary – certificate. Sherry worked as a secretary and human resource manager at Thomas and Betts Corp. in Clinton, IA. She was an avid quilter and was a member of the River City Quilt Guild.
Survivors include her mother, Lucille Hook of Morrison; one son, Ken Schwartz of Clinton; significant other of 27 years, Richard “Dick” Landsiedel of Morrison; one sister, Patricia Taylor of Bettendorf, IA; one brother, Dennis (Linda) Hook of Morrison; nephew and nieces, Austin, Ashley and Rachel.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, in infancy.
