Obituary for Sharon R. Tucker
SHARON R. TUCKER, 67, of Fulton, IL, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at her home in Fulton. Sharon was born November 27, 1948, in Perry, OH, to Joseph and Shirley N. (Simmons) Veselko. She moved to Fulton at the age of ten with her mother and step-father, Elvin "Curly" Kier. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a 1966 graduate of Fulton High School. She married Roger H. Tucker on June 14, 1969 in Garden Plain, IL. Sharon was employed at Clinton Corn in Clinton, IA and Bunge Grain Terminal in Albany, IL. She was a realtor for Century 21 and Ruhl and Ruhl Realty. She had worked at the Mississippi Cafe and at Kelly"s Mart, both in Albany, and also was a homemaker. She was a member of the Garden Plain Presbyterian Church, and a member of the National Association of Realtors. Sharon was one of the first groups of Hospice volunteers in Clinton, IA. She enjoyed camping, reading, writing, scrapbooking, and spent a lot of time on genealogy. Sharon cherished the time she spent with her children and her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Roger; one daughter, Danelle (Larry) McNeece of Morrison, IL; one son, Troy (Joyce) Tucker of Albany, IL; eight grandchildren, Will, Kirsti, Michaela, Landon and Hunter McNeece; Ethan, Austin and Nathan Tucker; one brother, Joseph "Joe" Veselko of Morrison, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Elvin Kier.
