Obituary for Sharon L. Walters
SHARON L. WALTERS, 66 of 13365 Garden Plain Road, Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL as a result of an apparent heart attack. Sharon was born April 27, 1945 in Morrison, IL, to Henry J. and Jennie (DeWeerdt) Tiesman. She was educated in the Garden Plain Grade School and was a graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. She was first married to Danny Housenga. She later married Paul E. Walters on March 19, 1970 in Lyndon, IL. Sharon was employed for 37 years at General Electric in Morrison, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the GEM Club and the Fulton Saddle Club. She enjoyed golf, macram", ceramics, camping, and attending her grandchildren"s school and sporting events. Sharon had also served as a girl"s softball coach. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Survivors include her husband, Paul; two daughters, Traci (Mark) Heusinkveld and Tori (Justin) Eads both of Morrison, IL; one stepdaughter, Wendy (Dwayne) Davis of Morrison, IL; one son, Troy Walters of Morrison, IL; eleven grandchildren, Kyle and Randi Heusinkveld, Chelsea, Joseph, Zackary, and Jordan Eads, Nathan Hutchison and Rachel Davis, Julia, Drew, and Lexi Walters; four sisters, Darlene (Raymond) Hook of Morrison, IL, Mae (Paul) Haan of Lansing, MI, Pat (Ron) Hanson of Morrison, IL, and Cindy (Allen) Krontz of Edwardsville, IL; one brother, Larry (Judy) Tiesman of Albany, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter in infancy.
