Obituary for Sharlene M. Johnson
SHARLENE M. JOHNSON, 63, of Prophetstown, IL, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Winning Wheels in Prophetstown.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. There will be no services or visitation. The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown is assisting the family.
Sharlene was born December 11, 1954, in Sterling, IL, to Raymond E. and Charlene A. “Polly” (Andres) Nance. She was a graduate of Prophetstown High School in 1973. Sharlene married Van M. Johnson on June 2, 1984, in Prophetstown. She was a housewife. Sharlene was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Geneseo, IL. She spent most of her time tending to her flower garden and enjoyed taking photos. She loved taking care of the various animals she had on her farm.
Survivors include her husband, Van Johnson of Prophetstown; four sons, Thomas Johnson of Geneseo, IL; John (Bridgette) Johnson of Geneseo, IL; Wesley Taylor; and Charles Taylor of Bettendorf, IA; six grandchildren; one sister, Vicki Poulos of Spring Hill, IL; four brothers, Randall Nance; Steven Nance of Dubuque, IA; Tom Nance of Spring Hill, IL; and Mark (Anne) Nance of Lyndon, IL and her mother, Polly Nance.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Nance.
