Obituary for Scott A. Spangler
SCOTT A. SPANGLER, 48, of 1300 " 7th Street, Fulton, IL, died Monday, May 10, 2010, in his home. Scott was born January 16, 1962, in Clinton, IA, to Leonard H. and Lois A. (Engelkens) Spangler. He was educated in the Fulton Grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School in 1980. He was a graduate of Clinton Community College. Scott was employed by IPSCO Steel in Camanche, IA and the American Cancer Society in Bettendorf, IA, where he worked on fund raising activities such as the BIX run. He also worked for Family Resources, Inc. of Davenport, IA and most recently, Genesis Visiting Nurse Association in Davenport, IA. Scott was a caregiver for his mother. He loved Sci-Fi books and TV programs and enjoyed playing games with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include one sister, Sharon (Roger) Schaver of South Milwaukee, WI; three brothers, Mike and Brian Spangler, both of Morrison, IL and Mark Spangler of Fulton; three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.
