Obituary for Sandra J. Behrens
SANDRA J. BEHRENS, 62, of 15509 Habben Road, Sterling, IL, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL. Sandy was born December 10, 1948 in Morrison, IL to Dr. James H. and Irene (LeFever) Moret. She was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a 1966 graduate of Morrison High School. She was also a graduate of Sterling Beauty School in Sterling, IL. Sandy married Ronald E. Behrens on June 14, 1968 in Morrison. She was first employed as a licensed beautician, was employed by the former Vern"s Home Furnishings in Morrison, and most recently, was employed by the Morrison Community Federal Credit Union until retiring in 2010. Sandy was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison and served as an elder. She was also a member of the Whiteside Home Extension and active in providing music ministry in many of the area churches. Sandy enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Ron; her mother, Irene Dyke of Morrison; one daughter, Milissa (Shawn) Beyer of Galena, IL; two sons, David (Amie) Behrens of Morrison and Adam (Amy Bender) Behrens of Rock Falls, IL; grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah Guenzler; Preston, Carter, and Alyvia Behrens; Madison Dawson, Ashlei Behrens, Katyn and Karlie Parrott; one sister, Dawn Zuidema of Morrison and one brother, Norman Moret of Geneva, IL. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. James H. Moret; one sister, Karen Hook; two stepfathers, Elmer Zuidema and Donald Dyke; and one niece, Katie Zuidema.
