Obituary for Ruth V. Stralow-Bristle
RUTH V. STRALOW-BRISTLE, 94, of Morrison, IL died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL. Ruth was born on October 23, 1914 in Morrison, IL to Carl A. and Alma K. (Hass) Schroeder. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. She married Raymond A. Stralow on May 10, 1934 in Morrison, IL. He died on June 19, 1983. She then married Jay J. Bristle on May 7, 1997 in Morrison, IL. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2003. Ruth worked as a housekeeper at the Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL. She later worked as a dietary aide at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, IL. Ruth was also an Avon Representative. She was a member of St. Peter"s Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL and the church"s Ladies Aid Society. Survivors include one son, Stanley Stralow of Morrison, IL; one son-in-law, Ron Hilty of Morrison, IL; one daughter-in-law, Shirley (Hugh) Stralow-Nelson of Morrison, IL; seven grandchildren, LuAnn (Terry) Wieneke, Lori (Rod) Everett, David (Carleen) Hilty, Marsha (Tom) Fagan, Randy (Karen) Stralow, Ann (Rick) Edwards, Jacob Wildman; fifteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Carlene Beveroth of Morrison, IL. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond; her second husband, Jay; one daughter, Virginia Hilty; one son, Alvin Stralow; four sisters, Rosena in infancy, Elsie Mae Rosenow, Dorothy Brinkman, and Vivian Houseman.
