Obituary for Ruth C. Turner
RUTH C. TURNER, 83, of Mercy Living Center North, Clinton, IA, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at the center. Ruth was born October 23, 1925, in Beloit, WI, to John and Josephine A. (Heeney) Chase. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and attended Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. She married David E. Turner on February 20, 1943 in Clinton, IA. He died February 3, 1989. Ruth was employed by Swift and Company in Clinton, IA and most recently at the former Jane Lamb Hospital as a housekeeper, also in Clinton. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door in Clinton.Survivors include one daughter, Dawn E. Turner of Fulton, IL; one grandson, David L. Santos of Vista, CA; two sisters, Joyce Halverson and Betty Brown, both of Clinton, IA.She was preceded in death by her husband, David; one son, Michael Turner; one sister, Donna Mae Tichler; one brother, John, in infancy.
