Obituary for Roy L. Letchford
ROY L. LETCHFORD, 67, of Fulton, IL, formerly of Camanche, IA, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Clinton, IA. Roy was born March 4, 1947, in Waterloo, IA, to Bert and Thelma (Wright) Letchford. He graduated from East Waterloo High School in Waterloo, IA and later graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. He married Sherry L. Carter on April 1, 1972, in Brooklyn, IA. Roy taught in the Camanche, IA School District for 38 years. After retiring from teaching, he worked at the Clinton Post Office. Roy was an avid golfer and Ham Radio operator. Survivors include his wife, Sherry; one son, Joshua (Linda) Letchford of Livermore, CA and one brother, Gary (Pat) Letchford of Longwood, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Kathleen Harlow.
