Obituary for Ronald R. Whitten
RONALD R. WHITTEN, 75, of 205 2nd Avenue South, Albany, IL, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at his home. Ron was born April 14, 1934 in Tecumseh, OK to Charlie O. and Emma Jewel (Sweaney) Whitten. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Ron married Grace Faulkner on June 2, 1954 in Roswell, NM. He later married Vicky L. Huizenga on February 10, 1979 in Albany, IL. He was a member of the Fulton Country Club. Survivors include his wife, Vicky; four daughters, Roni (Daniel) Mitchell of Cape Haze, FL; Penny Zuidema of Morrison, IL; Kathy Utley of Rockton, IL; and Cindy (Peter) Petersen of Clinton, IA; two sons, Robert (Christine) Whitten of Fulton, IL and H. Glen Whitten of Ada, OH; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one brother, Walter "Bud" (Dee) Whitten of McDonough, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Whitten; one grandson, Clifford May; and one sister, Judy Redding.
