Obituary for Ronald E. Leffler Sr.
RONALD E. LEFFLER, SR., 83, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Pleasant View Home, Morrison, IL.Ron was born November 6, 1934 in Stockport, IA, to Otis and Ruth (McVey) Leffler. He was educated in the Stockport grade schools and was a graduate of Stockport High School. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Ron married Joanne Goodin on July 2, 1954 in Columbus, GA. She died December 26, 2000. Ron was first engaged in farming in the rural Stockport, IA area. He later worked as a Prudential Insurance Agent. Most recently, he was employed as a truck driver and served as manager for Truck Transport, Inc. in Albany, IL. Ron was a former member of the Albany Lions Club and the Teamsters Union. He also attended the First Baptist Church in Clinton, IA. Ron enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing cards, dancing, and cooking.Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Piercy of Fulton, IL; two sons, Ronald (Rebecca) Leffler, Jr. of Bumpus Mills, TN and Keith (Kathy) Leffler of Fulton, IL; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kenny (Linda) Leffler of Huachia City, AZ.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joanne; and one son, Alan Leffler
