Obituary for Robert Lee Shepard Sr.
ROBERT LEE SHEPARD SR., 80, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at his home.Bob was born October 16, 1936 in Morrison, IL, to Fred and Goldie (Williams) Shepard. He was educated in the Morrison grade school and was a 1955 graduate of Morrison High School. He married Beverly J. Tomman on November 18, 1955 in Morrison. He was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Bob was employed by the Dutch Boy Garage in Fulton and retired from E.I. DuPont, Clinton, IA, in 1997. He was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church since 1965, where he served as a deacon and an elder. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.Survivors include his wife, Beverly; two sons, Daniel (Sarah) Shepard of Lake in the Hills, IL, and Thomas (Amber) Shepard of Clinton, IA; eight grandchildren, Lowell Shepard, Garrett Shepard, Taylor Shepard, Mark (Christine) Shepard, Alexander (Kimberly) Shepard, Dakota Greve, Dylan Greve and Dru Greve; two great grandchildren, Ella and Nolan Shepard; two sisters, Penny Burridge and Sally Mitchell, both of Fulton, IL.He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Lee Shepard Jr. and Michael Scott Shepard; two sisters, Rose Marie McCreery and Linda Kohl; three brothers, Jack Shepard, Donald Shepard and one in infancy.
