Obituary for Robert L. Hansen
ROBERT L. HANSEN, 85, of Prophetstown, IL, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. Robert was born January 3, 1925 in Prophetstown, IL, to Louis P. and Cora O. (Johnson) Hansen. He was educated in the Prophetstown Grade School and was a 1944 graduate of Prophetstown High School. He attended the Coyne Electric School in Chicago, IL. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed by Dewey"s Music and Appliance in Sterling, IL as a TV and electronic repairman for over 25 years. He later worked for the Sterling Camera Center. Robert was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown and the Prophetstown American Legion Post #522. He enjoyed watching TV. Survivors include nephews, Aron Lumbard of Rock Island, IL; Gary Hansen of Erie, IL; and David Hansen of Utah; and nieces, Mary Beth McCune of Phoenix, AZ; Sue (Marty) Boisen of Clinton, IA and Melonie of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marilyn Lumbard, and one brother, Dean Hansen.
