Obituary for Robert Gale Daley
ROBERT GALE DALEY, 83, of Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Rock Falls, IL.
At Robert’s request, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no visitation or memorial service. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery.
Robert was born February 28, 1940, in Clinton, IA, to Harry and Jean H. (Pettit) Daley.
He married “the love of his life” Dolores M. (Reckard) Swemline on August 12, 2000, in Machesney Park, IL. She died May 8, 2018. Robert joined the United States Air Force and made a 19½ year career out of serving his country. He was a self-employed disc jockey and enjoyed playing pool and dancing. Robert also had an appreciation for many genres of music, including Big Band, 50’s / 60’s and Country Western. Above all, Robert cherished the time he spent with Delores, his wife of 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores; his twin sister, Barbara Golembieski; two brothers, Thomas Daley and James Daley.
