Obituary for Raymond John Engelkens
RAYMOND JOHN ENGELKENS, 57, of Silvis, IL, died Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis, IL.
His memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Renkes officiating. A memorial visitation will precede the service, starting at 10:00 AM, until the time of the service. Interment and a graveside service will be at 2:30 PM on February 18th, at the Franklin Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
Ray was born July 14, 1965, in Savanna, IL, to Jacob and Alma A. (Shaw) Engelkens, Jr. He was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. He drove truck for many years for McCloud Express in Decatur, IL. He enjoyed watching football and reading.
Survivors include two sisters, Juanita Neher of Killean, TX and Ruby Jean (Keith) Tegeler of Fulton, IL; one brother, Walter Engelkens of Clinton, IA; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Jo Dean.
