Obituary for Pearl Blasdell
PEARL E. BLASDELL, 60, of rural Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 in rural Whiteside County as the result of an automobile accident. Pearl was born March 26, 1950, in Morrison, to Ray C. and Jessie P. (Hovey) Blasdell. She was educated in the Fenton, IL grade schools and graduated from Erie, IL High School in 1968. Pearl worked at General Electric in Morrison for thirty plus years, retiring in 2003. She also sold Avon products. She was a member of the Fenton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, collecting Native American art and baking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Serina L. Blasdell of Clinton, IA; three grandsons, Jesse J., Michael and Isaiah Blasdell; two sisters, Betty Van Meter of Fenton, IL and Carol N. Shafer of Morrison, IL; three brothers, Dale (Maria) Blasdell of Morrison, IL, Donald "Butch" (Sandra) Hamm of Clinton, IA and Roger D. (Carmen) Blasdell of Albany, IL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Johnnie Hamm and Maurice Blasdell.
