Obituary for Pauline S. Stone
PAULINE S. STONE, 88, of Dixon Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Dixon, IL formerly of Prophetstown, IL died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the center. Pauline was born on April 7, 1921 in Phenix Township (Henry County), IL to William and Sylvia (Dersham) Lodge. She was educated in the Prophetstown Grade School in Prophetstown, IL. She married Melvin Lester Stone on March 27, 1939 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1997. Pauline was a member of the Prophetstown American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed flower gardening, sewing and crafts. Survivor"s include four daughters, Janet Stone-Ethington of Congress, AZ, Reta (Larry) Deets of Prophetstown, IL, Patty (John) Bollivar of Prophetstown, IL and Joan (Russ) McCowan of Prophetstown, IL; one son, William "Bill" Stone of Mount Auburn, IA; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; one grandchild; one sister, Josephine Jaquet; and one brother, Kenneth Lodge.
