Obituary for Paul R. Nugent
PAUL R. NUGENT, 57, of 2003 Terrace Lane, Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at his home. Paul was born October 18, 1950 in Davenport, IA, to Raymond Joseph and Mavis Martha (Puck) Nugent. He was educated in the Durant and West Liberty, IA grade schools. He was a 1968 graduate of Central Community High School in DeWitt, IA and was a graduate of the Morrison Institute of Technology in Morrison, IL. Paul served in the U.S. Army. He married Lana J. Fulrath on December 14, 1974 in Rock Falls, IL. He was employed by Custom Pak in Clinton, IA for 30 years, retiring in 2007. Paul was past president and coach of Morrison Little League, served as a Morrison Girls Softball League Coach, and was a Board Member of Morrison Institute of Technology. He enjoyed golfing, driving his Corvette, and attending his children"s athletic events. Survivors include his wife, Lana; one daughter, Rebecca Nugent of Kenosha, WI; one son, Bryan (Elizabeth) Nugent of Morrison, IL; his second mother, Helen McDonnell-Nugent of Wheatland, IA; eight sisters, Karen (Brian) Johnson of Waterloo, IA; Patricia Gebhardt and Judy Rupp both of Wheaton, IL; Kay (John) Grillot of Washington, IL; Ann (Jason) Witt of Cumming, GA; Jean (Bill) Wright of League City, TX; Margaret (Andrew) Beierwaltes of Niles, IL; and Mary (John) Eldracher of Broadway Twp. MI; nine brothers, Michael (Nancy) Nugent of Chesterfield, MO; Roy (Nancy) McDonnell of Verona, WI; Dale (Sheri) Nugent of Davenport, IA; Terry (JoAnn) McDonnell of Oxford Junction, IA; John (Joellyn) McDonnell of DeWitt, IA; Bill (Elizabeth) McDonnell of LaGrange, IL; Joe (Carmen) Nugent of Iowa City, IA; Dan (Holly) Nugent of North Liberty, IA; and Jim (Jennifer) Nugent of Peoria, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ryan Nugent in infancy and one brother, William Nugent.
