Obituary for Paul H. Kettler
PAUL H. KETTLER, 82, of 606 N. 12th Street, Fulton, IL, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. Paul was born January 19, 1925 in Fulton, IL to Garrett M. and Gertrude (Buikema) Kettler. He was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed as a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Fulton, IL, for 31 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton, a 50 year member of American Legion " Fulton Post #402, and Disabled American Veterans. Paul was an avid fisherman. Survivors include two sisters, Winnifred J. Kettler and Mrs. Annalene Koenes both of Fulton, IL; two brothers, Dwight (Margaret) Kettler of Morrison and Le Roy J. (Pauline) Kettler of Dixon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bernice Vannini and Gertrude E. Kettler.
