Obituary for Patricia E. Wiebenga
PATRICIA E. WIEBENGA, 67, of 411 21st Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at her home. Pat was born June 17, 1941 in Morrison, IL to John O. and Bessie E. (Wright) Engelkens. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and attended Tampico High School. She married Jerry D. Wiebenga on March 30, 1957 in Fulton, IL. He died January 23, 1998. Pat was first employed by the former A.C. Nielsen"s Clearing House in Clinton, IA. She later was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL for 30 years until her retirement. Pat was a member of the Fulton American Legion Auxiliary and Clinton AMVETS. She collected bears and enjoyed attending the athletic events of her grandchildren. She also accompanied her late husband as he refereed high school athletic events. Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl (Warren) Juist of Fulton, IL; one son, Rod (Terri) Wiebenga of Barnegat, NJ; four grandchildren, Jeremy and Andy Wiebenga; Sarah and Alex Juist; two sisters, Shirley (Dave) Foy of Rock Island, IL and Karen (Jeff) Hostens of Sherrard, IL; one brother, John (Janet) Engelkens of Morrison, IL; and one brother-in-law, John Wiebenga of Rock Falls, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, David Engelkens.
