Obituary for Patricia A. Rick
PATRICIA A. RICK, 87, of Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Monday, October 18, 2010 at the nursing home. Patricia was born September 21, 1923 in Freeport, IL, to Paul and Hazel (Barber) Hepfer. She was educated in the Lanark and Dixon, IL grade schools and was a graduate of Dixon High School. She married Ray Howard Rick on January 26, 1946 in Morrison. He died May 18, 1990. Pat farmed along with her late husband, Ray, for 30 years, in the Erie, IL area before moving to Florida in 1984 and returning to Morrison in 1990. She enjoyed flower gardening and dressing her pelican statue for the season. Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Craig) Haan of Morrison, IL and Diane (Larry) Ford of Prophetstown, IL; one son, Dan (Bette) Rick of Erie, IL; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one sister, Lorena Berry of Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; one sister, Ardath Seidel; and one brother, Joe Hepfer.
