Obituary for Omar A. Null
OMAR A. NULL, 85, of Morrison, IL, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Morrison Community Hospital.Omar was born October 4, 1924, in Morrison, IL, to Henry and Mary (Cleverstone) Null. He was educated in the Lyndon Grade schools. He married Ruth M. Willer on February 13, 1949. She died December 26, 2001. Omar served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed by the Northwestern Steel & Wire Company in Sterling, IL for 38 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Morrison VFW Post 8281. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and woodworking. Survivors include one daughter, Juliet R. Wright of Bloomington, IL; two sons, Fritz Rusty (Angela) Null and Michael B. Null, both of Morrison; one sister Lavina Magnon of Oregon, IL.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; two sisters, Vivian Waterstreet and Hazel Null; five brothers, Clyde, Bernard, Howard, Sherman, and Harlan Null.
