Obituary for Olive Jeanette Spencer
OLIVE JEANETTE SPENCER, 72, of Lyndon, IL, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, IL. Jeanette was born on May 9, 1939, in Elwood, KS, to Charles and Bernice (Howard) Jones. She was educated in the Elwood grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School in Morrison, IL. She married Ernest "Red" Spencer Jr. on December 10, 1960, in Morrison, IL. Jeanette was employed at General Electric Company in Morrison, IL, for 32 years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church in Lyndon, IL. She was a talented artist, creating beautiful art. She loved all people, especially her family. Survivors include her husband, Ernest; one daughter, Shari (Mike) Kaufman of Morrison, IL; four sons, Barry (Jodi) Spencer of Sterling, IL, Gary Spencer of Lyndon, IL, Shawn (April) Spencer of Dixon, IL and Brandy (Dallas Anderson) Spencer of Lyndon, IL; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Jones.
