Obituary for Norma J. Knott
NORMA J. KNOTT, 91, of Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Addington Place of Clinton.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Stephan, pastor of CrossView Church in Fulton, officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Fulton Music Boosters.
Norma was born September 16, 1932, in Clinton, IA, to Herman and Betty (Damhoff) Koenes. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a 1950 graduate of Fulton High School. She married Ben Knott on April 22, 1952, in Fulton, IL. He died April 4, 2000. Norma was employed at General Electric in Morrison, IL and Nielsens in Clinton, IA. She also dedicated herself to the role of a loving homemaker. She was a member of CrossView Church. Norma found joy in her leisure activities, such as embroidery and engaging in word searches and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra (Robert) Houzenga of Fulton, IL; one son, Mark (Sarah) Knott of Fulton, IL; six grandchildren, Matthew (Heidi) Houzenga, Kelly (Josh) Cramer, Brad (Sara) Houzenga, Michael (Dawn) Knott, Justin (Emily) Knott and Eric (Cara) Knott; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley (Robert) Buikema of Fulton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben; one brother, Robert E. Koenes.
