Obituary for Norma Bush
NORMA R. BUSH, 79, of 6607 Riverview Road, Thomson, IL, died Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL. Norma was born July 29, 1928 in Newton Township, IL, to Anno and Rena (Heun) Huizenga. She was educated in the Slocum Street School of rural Whiteside County and was a graduate of Erie High School in Erie, IL. Norma married Roland J. Bush on November 26, 1946 in Erie, IL. She was employed by General Electric in Morrison, then employed as a waitress, and later as a nurses aid for Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, IA. She was also engaged in farming with her husband in the rural Erie, Thomson, and Fulton, IL areas. She was a member of Spring Valley Reformed Church in rural Fulton. Survivors include her husband, Roland; two daughters, Diane (Mrs. Wesley) Temple of Princeton, IL and Debbie (Mrs. Larry "Bim") McGinnis of Thomson, IL; four sons, David (Pat) Bush of Nashville, TN, Richard (Pamela) Bush of Bethalto, IL, Doug (Nancy) Bush of Fulton, IL, and Drew (Karmin) Bush of Chadwick, IL; fifteen grandchildren, Shane (Krystal) Temple, Steffanie (Carl) Denton, Joseph McGinnis and Michelle Leitzen, Mark (Jennifer) McGinnis, Amy (Jerry) Jones, Caleb (Elizabeth) Bush, Seth (Kristin) Bush, Sarah (Dave) Thomas, Hannah Bush, Dale (Hilary) Bush, Dan (Cari) Bush, Dawn (Josh) Temple, Diane (Nate) Stichter, Emily and Allyson Bush; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Rose (Mrs. Alvin "Bud") Wiersema of Morrison, IL and one brother, Willard (Phyllis) Huizenga of Morrison, IL. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael David Bush; three sisters, Verna Norman, Hazel Norman, and Wilma Jean Huizenga in infancy; one brother, John Huizenga, two sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Huizenga and Ella May Huizenga, two brothers-in-law, Henry and Hie Norman.
