Obituary for Nadine K. McWorthy
NADINE K. MCWORTHY, 81, of 700 Deerview Lane, Morrison, IL, her beautiful spirit left this world on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. Nadine was born April 26, 1931 in Lanark, IL to Clarence and Ethel (Zuck) Dambman. She attended Lanark grade schools and graduated from Lanark High school. She first married LeMoine Mohlenkamp in 1951 in Shannon, IL. She later married her loving husband, Sylvester "Bud" McWorthy on December 24, 1988 in Freeport, IL. She farmed with LeMoine in the Shannon area for 30 years, then later worked for the Elkay water cooler factory in Lanark and Savanna. She was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church. Nadine was an amazing cook and loved to entertain. She started a card club over 40 years ago and the club still gathers today. Nadine and Bud loved traveling together. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Sylvester "Bud"; one daughter, Stacy (Philip) Stott of Freeport, IL; one son, Steve Mohlenkamp of Denver, CO; two step sons, Larry (Jean) McWorthy of Thomson, IL and Mac (Cindy) McWorthy of Thomson, IL; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren that she loved dearly; and one sister, Velma Hoffman of Forreston, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Dambman and one grandchild, Desiree McWorthy.
