Obituary for Myrna Welch
MYRNA V. WELCH, 66, of 17052 Elston Road, Fulton, IL, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Myrna was born November 27, 1941, in Savanna, IL, to Edward and Esther (Pugh) Charneski. She attended St. Mary"s Catholic School in Clinton, IA. She married Donald L. Welch on June 25, 1960 in Fulton, IL. Myrna was employed by Clinton Garment Factory, Clinton, IA, and Berg Pharmacy in Fulton, for 17 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulton and a past member of St. Patrick"s Catholic Church in Albany, IL. She was a member of the Albany Women"s Coffee Club, and the Albany PTO. Myrna was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Donald; one daughter, Patty (Mrs. Tony) Martin of Fulton, IL; one son, Don Jr. (Gabriele) Welch of Camanche, IA; six grandchildren, Travis (Erin Van Houten) Martin, Tiffany and Alex Martin; Nicole and Sabrina Welch and Amber (Mrs. Brian) Cook; two great grandchildren, Nolan Morrow and Aidan Cook; four sisters, Lorraine (Mrs. John) Bennett of Fulton, IL, Patricia (Mrs. Ron) Paulline of Fulton, IL, Sheryl (Mrs. Gary) Burns of Albany, IL and Kathy (Mrs. Steven) Bearsley of Albany, IL; two brothers, Edward (Irene) Charneski of Fulton, IL and Rick Charneski of Clinton, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
