Obituary for Myrna L. Rogers
MYRNA L. ROGERS, 70, of 1603 7th Street, Fulton, IL, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at her home. Myrna was born April 17, 1937, in Clinton, IA, to Henry and Virginia (Coyne) Little. She was educated in the Fulton Grade schools and attended Fulton High School. She married Charles W. Brown on October 8, 1956 in Fulton. She then married Carl B. Rogers on December 12, 1970 in Camanche, IA. Myrna worked at G.E. Company in Morrison for 35 years, retiring in 1995. Music was the absolute beat of her heart. She sang locally at many weddings, funerals and special church occasions. Her greatest joy in life was her family and many friends. Survivors include her husband, Carl, three sons, Ronald L. (Ginger) Brown of Buckeye, AZ, Timothy C. Brown of Fulton, and Michael T. (Kari) Brown of Rock Falls, IL; eight grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer and Jonathan Brown, AuBree Brown, Taylor Brown, Joshua Arthurs, Matthew and Katelyn Eaton; two great grandchildren, Nathaniel Burroughs and Adyiah Brown; three sisters, Nancy L. Haan of Rockford, IL, Patricia Gearing of Freeport, IL and Peggy (Mrs. Terry) Chase of Port Byron, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; a brother-in-law, James Gearing.
