Obituary for Mossie M. Wiersema
MOSSIE M. WIERSEMA, 86, of 620 Genesee Avenue, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at her home. Mossie was born March 1, 1920 in Wilton, KY, to James and Mary L. (Elick) Holt. She married John Willis "Bill" Carroll on April 13, 1934 in Harlan, KY. He died December 26, 1945. She later married James Wiersema in April of 1947 in Morrison, IL. He died May 22, 1968. She was employed with General Electric in Morrison. Survivors include two daughters, Billie Jean Scaff of Chicago, IL and Betty Hathaway of Savanna, IL; two sons, Willis (Selena) Carroll and Ernest (Vicki) Carroll both of Morrison, IL, thirteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by both her husbands, Bill Carroll and James Wiersema.
