Obituary for Milford J. Raab
MILFORD "JOHNNY" RAAB, 77, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his home. Johnny was born September 14, 1936 in Freeport, IL, to William and Marjorie (Eaton) Raab. He was engaged in farming in the rural Mt. Carroll, IL, area and also was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as a welder. Later he worked as a self employed handyman. Johnny enjoyed gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, building picnic tables, and spending time with friends. Survivors include one daughter, Penny Dash of Clinton, IA; six sons, Russell (Gayle) Raab of Kingston, GA; Scott (Kathy) Raab of Clinton, IA; Todd Raab of Clinton, IA; Jeff (Danaca) Raab of Fulton, IL; Terry Raab of Clinton, IA and Tom Raab of Clinton, IA; twenty grandchildren; three step grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mona (Chuck) Balles of Freeport, IL and Mary Lou Bower of Lena, IL; two brothers, Marshall (Helen) Raab of Freeport, IL and Millard (Linda) Raab of Houghton, LA; and a special friend, Darlene Weltzin of Morrison, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandchild; six sisters, Marion, Mae, Mildred, Marjorie, Marie, and Maxine; four brothers, Morrell, Myrnice, Maynard, and Miles.
