Obituary for Michael D. Dietz
MICHAEL D. DIETZ, 56, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, June 17, 2019 at his home in Fulton.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at Johnnies Tap in Fulton. There will be a visitation from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Memorials to the Fulton Fire Department and the Fulton EMS have been established.
Mike was born August 3, 1962 in Clinton, IA to Robert H. and Lucille C. (Biermann) Dietz. He attended the Fulton, Illinois schools. Mike was employed at Timken-Drives, LLC in Fulton for 38 years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, Miami Dolphins fan and NASCAR fan, particularly Dale Earnhardt Jr who he met in Charlotte, N.C.. He especially enjoyed the Kentucky Derby. One of Mike’s accomplishments in life was rolling a 300 game.
Survivors include two sisters, Trish (Dave) Shear and Kathy (Rod) Hamm, both of Fulton; one brother, John (Mary Joe Dykstra) Dietz of Clinton; many nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Judy Dietz of Decatur, IL; a brother-in-law, Robert Turner of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Barbara Jo Turner; two brothers, Thomas Allen Dietz and Robert John Dietz.
