Obituary for Mary K. Bonneur
MARY K. BONNEUR, 93, of Morrison, IL, surrounded by her family, went to be with her Lord, on Friday, May 20, 2016 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL. Mary Katherine Riley Bonneur was born to Elmer C. and Alice M. (Hudelson) Riley in Perry, IL, on May 5, 1923. She graduated from Pittsfield, IL, High School, where she was active in FHA, Business Club, and a member of the National Honor Society. Mary K. was active in 4-H and Rural Youth in Pike County, IL. She attended GEM City Business College in Quincy, IL, and worked at the Farm Bureau Building in Pittsfield. In 1945, she moved to Morrison, IL, to work as secretary to the Farm Adviser for the U of I Cooperative Extension Service. There she met her husband. She married Eugene Bonneur on March 20, 1948, in Pittsfield, IL. Mary K. was a member of the former Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton, IL. A memorial to the American Cancer Society in honor of her daughter, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and father-in-law, has been established. She is survived by her husband, Eugene, her children; Diane Sexton of Frankfort, IL; son-in-law, David Rose of Morrison, IL; Brian (Cindy) Bonneur of Morrison, IL; and Janice (Scott) Webster of Quincy, IL; her grandchildren, Sarah (Nathan) Phillips, Rebecca (Chris) Kates, Dawn (Jeremy) Roberts, Peter (Hannah) Rose, Andrew (Christine) Bonneur, Nicholas (Giana) Bonneur, Kara (Scott) Williams, Kelsey Webster (fianc" " Andrew VonderHaar), and Brenna Webster; twelve great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl (Marilyn) Riley of Pittsfield, IL; a sister, Nadine Riley of Ottawa, IL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Karen Rose.
