Obituary for Mary Jane Osborn
MARY JANE OSBORN, 78, of 13567 Treva Drive, Morrison, IL, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at her home. Mary Jane was born August 10, 1928 in Morrison, IL to Orville and Leila (Knox) Curtis. She was a graduate of Morrison High School and Moline Hospital School of Nursing. She married Kenneth L. Osborn on September 29, 1951 in Morrison. He died on September 26, 1998. Mary Jane was employed as a registered nurse at Morrison Community Hospital for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Morrison, the church choir and the church"s Mary and Martha Circle. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star " Chapter #354 in Sterling, IL. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed playing cards with friends. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela (Mrs. Dennis) DeFrang of Morrison; three sons, Dean Osborn of Erie, IL; Steve Osborn of Morrison; and Dennis (Mary) Osborn of Jasper, GA; thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and one brother, Burdette Curtis.
