Obituary for Mary Ellen Main
MARY ELLEN Babe MAIN, 65, of 12029 Three Mile Road, Thomson, IL, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Mary Ellen was born November 16, 1941, in Kewanee, IL, to Earl and Mary E. (Homer) Brasel. She was educated in the Wethersfield Schools in Kewanee, graduating in 1959. She married William Covell in 1961 in Rock Falls, IL. He died in 1973. In 1978 she married Jerry Main in Clark, MO. She was employed by General Electric Co. in Morrison, IL for 15 years. Later she managed the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in Albany, IL, retiring in 2003 and moving to Georgia. Mary Ellen enjoyed traveling, decorating her homes, cooking and playing on her computer. She liked to listen to classic country music. Survivors include her husband, Jerry; two daughters, Lena "Squirt" (Mrs. Greg) Swigart of St. Mary"s, GA and Kelly (Mat Kuehl) Covell of Sterling, IL; two sons: Eddie (LouAnn) Covell of Kasbeer, IL and Max B. (Deb) Covell of Fulton, IL; four grandchildren, Jennifer Rash, Eric Swigart, Andrea Covell and Jamie Covell; four sisters, Donna (Mrs. Tom) Bergren of Kewanee, IL, Judy Smith of St. Mary"s, GA, Dale (Todd Johnson) Ludvigsen of Fulton, IL and Pat (Mrs. Tony) Goldsmith of Newton, IA; one brother, Bruce Brasel of Fulton, IL; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William; one brother, Jimmie Main, Jr.
