Obituary for Martha L. Guth
MARTHA LAEL GUTH, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2017, at her home in Westminster Village, Scottsdale, AZ.Martha was born on October 11, 1925, in Chicago, IL to Roy and Hilma Swanson. She was a 1943 graduate of Jones Commercial High School and married the love of her life, Edward C. Guth, on June 2, 1945, in Chicago. She enjoyed a happy 64-year marriage while raising four daughters. She worked for many years as a secretary with Sears Company to help support her family. Martha truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; card games with friends, enjoying time with her family, and making friends wherever she went. The true definition of an optimist, Martha always saw the glass as half-full and knew how important it was to be grateful for each and every day. She was always ready with a big smile even when life threw challenges her way, making each person she met feel special and happy to have known her.She is survived by three daughters, sons-in-law, and many grandchildren, great-grand children, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, on January 16, 2010.

Saturday August 5, 2017 until the time of the service FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:30 A.M Saturday August 5, 2017 INTERMENT: Fulton Twp. Cemetery - Fulton, IL Following the interment, a time of fellowship and light refreshments will be held at the Fulton Presbyterian Church.
