MARNA KAY SCHROEDER, 56, of Clinton, IA, accepted her call from Jesus on Monday, May 1, 2023.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, IA with Pastor Steve Lingle officiating. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Cremation rites were accorded. Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church, Thomson United Methodist Church and Sarah Harding Home in Clinton, IA.
Marna was born November 21, 1966, in Dekalb, IL, to Carol “Gene” and Merrie Jo (Sippel) Enloe. She was educated in the Thomson grade schools and was a graduate of Thomson High School. She then attended Clinton Community College and graduated from Highland Community College. Marna married Arnold L. Schroeder on October 8, 1988, at the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, IA. She worked at Sarah Harding Home for over 20 years as a floor aid. She loved to do needlework on plastic canvas. Marna enjoyed spending her time volunteering at the church and singing in the choir.
Survivors include her beloved cat, Delilah; her husband, Arnold; one daughter, Kalyn (James) Shaffer of Fulton, IL; two grandchildren, Hanna and Jacen Shaffer; mother, Merrie Jo (Terry) Shanafelt of Weslaco, TX; one sister, Lola (Randy) Meade of Fulton, IL; one brother, Don Enloe of Fulton, IL; five bonus siblings; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Debbie Enloe; one sister-in-law, Shelly Lynn Enloe; maternal and paternal grandparents.
