Obituary for Marjorie A. Kraft
MARJORIE A. KRAFT, 78, of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA. Marjorie was born March 26, 1932, in Clinton, IA, to William M. and Anna (Finnerup) McMurry. She was educated in the Clinton Grade schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 1950. She married Willard M. Kraft on June 8, 1952 in Clinton. Marjorie was employed by Clinton Foods, Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton and later at Nielsen Clearing House in Clinton, as a secretary. She retired in 1991. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where is earlier years she had been a Sunday School teacher, choir member and a member of the women"s group. She was a volunteer tutor, both in the Adult Literacy Program and Study Connection for grade school children. She was a Cub Scout den mother and worked with the Brownies. For many years she and her husband enjoyed the fellowship of the square dance world. They also enjoyed ballroom dancing and traveling. Survivors include her husband, Willard; two daughters, Linda Baker of Clinton, and Ellen Shepler of Fulton; two sons, David Kraft of Ephrata, WA and Kenneth (Laura) Kraft of Clinton; one grandson; five granddaughters; five great grandsons; four great granddaughters; one sister, Ruby Allen of Clinton; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters; two brothers; one son-in-law; her step-mother, Anna Thomspon McMurry.
