Obituary for Marion F. Collins
MARION F. COLLINS, 100, of Resthave Home in Morrison, IL, died Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Resthave Home.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 7, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church in Morrison, with a visitation preceding from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. Rev. Dr. Michael Selburg will be officiating. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be at a later date at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Memorials to First Presbyterian Church in Morrison, and Resthave Home Assisted Living have been established.

Marion was born September 18, 1919, in Morrison, IL, to Frank and Lola (Reed) Schroeder. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. She married Harold J. Hook in 1939. She later married Robert W. Collins on December 14, 1963 in Des Moines, IA. He died July 25, 2003. Marion owned and operated Hook’s Nook in DeKalb, IL. She was then employed by Goodenough Ice Box and Climco Coils in Morrison. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Morrison, where she taught Sunday school and Bible study. Later she became a member of First Presbyterian Church in Morrison, where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Morrison Country Club. She also was a former member of the Morrison Music Theater.

Survivors include one daughter, Pat (Bill) Anderson of Morrison, IL; one son, Dave (Linda) Hook of Morrison, IL; six grandchildren, Jeff (Malinda) Hook, Pamela (Todd) Muur, Corey (Patty) Connelly, Amy (Ken) Bratsch, Nikki (Bill) Beck, Nathan (Jenny) Anderson; thirteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one granddaughter, Sheri Hook; one sister, Marjorie Dykema; one brother, Warren Schroeder; a special friend, Rollie Heaton.
