Obituary for Marilyn J. Maxfield
MARILYN J. MAXFIELD, 74, of Westminster Woods Retirement Community, Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Prophetstown, IL, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the Retirement Community.Marilyn was born December 3, 1935 in Hopkins Township, IL, to Clyde C. and Nellie M. (Brewer) Reynolds. She was educated in the Prophetstown Grade School and attended Prophetstown High School. Marilyn married James D. Maxfield on January 28, 1953 in Prophetstown. He died August 10, 2002. She was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL and most recently by the former Fenn"s Drug Store in Prophetstown. Marilyn was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown and served as a Sunday School teacher and was in charge of altar flowers for many years. She enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was a member of the Prophet Hills Country Club in Prophetstown. Survivors include three sons, Greg Maxfield of Wichita, KS, Keith (Debbie) Maxfield of Jacksonville, FL, and Jeff (Tori) Maxfield of Reedsburg, WI; five grandchildren, Jenni and Hayley Maxfield, Tia (Kevin) Heimerdinger, Kyler and Cortland Maxfield; and one brother, Jerry (Roz) Reynolds of Martinez, CA.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James; one daughter, Cindy Maxfield, one sister, Katherine Dorathy; two brothers, Merritt and Gardner Reynolds.
