Obituary for Marian J. Merema
MARIAN J. MEREMA, 84, of 605 13th Aveue, Fulton, IL, died Friday, October 2, 2009 at her home. Marian was born June 10, 1925 in Fenton, IL, to Peter L. and Flora (Heun) Temple. She was educated in the Fenton Grade School in Fenton, IL. She married Bert S. Merema on April 6, 1945 in the Newton Reformed Church Parsonage in rural Erie, IL. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton, IL. Marian was a devoted wife and mother. Survivors include her husband, Bert; one daughter, Viola M. (Ralph) Pray of Fulton; three sons, Robert L. (Leslie) Merema, Stanley M. (Kathy) Merema, and Roger S. (Terri) Merema all of Fulton; four grandchildren, Roby Merema, Shaun (Kori) Merema, Ryan (Carrie) Merema, and Corey (Vanessa) Merema; twelve great grandchildren, Abbigale and Logan Merema, Skyler Norman, Hunter and Isabel Merema, Krysta (Josh) Theobold, Vincent Sepulveda, Rhett and Baylee Merema, Zayne Cole, Brayden and Dylan Merema; four sisters, Josephine M. Boelkins of Chadwick, IL; Betty (Bill) Schaver of Fulton, IL; Genevieve (Harlan) Tiesman of Fulton, IL; and Beverly (Jim) Naftzger of Erie, IL; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Temple of Erie, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Florence A. Buis, and one brother, Louis G. Temple.
