Obituary for Marian G. Newendyke
MARIAN G. NEWENDYKE, 88, of 10972 Kruger Rd., Morrison, IL, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at her home. Marian was born June 16, 1922, in Garden Plain Township, IL, to Hilcoe and Flora (Bonneur) Vander Eide. She was educated in the Garden Plain School of rural Fulton, IL. She married Edward E. Newendyke on March 5, 1943 in Fulton, IL. He died on December 8, 1998. Marian farmed along with her husband in the rural Garden Plain, Cottonwood and Morrison areas. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, and served as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed crocheting, quilt making and other types of needlework. She was passionate about reading her Bible. Survivors include one daughter, Janice (Donald) Boelkens of Milledgeville, IL; two sons, Elwyn (Iola) Newendyke of New Boston, MO, LaVerne Newendyke of Morrison, IL; one sister, Jeanette Schaver of Fulton, IL; one sister-in-law, Jessie Vander Eide of Morrison, IL; two brothers, Elmer Vander Eide of Fulton, IL and Carl (Wilma) Vander Eide of Fulton, IL; a special friend, Harvey Meinsma of Albany, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; two brothers, Clarence and Orin Vander Eide
