Obituary for Marguerite C. Cowser
MARGUERITE C. COWSER, 76, of 2413 16th Avenue, Sterling, IL, formerly of Corpus Christi, TX died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at her home. Marguerite was born January 11, 1934 in Holyrood, KS to Matthew and Margaret (Heiken) Kahler. She was educated in the Holyrood schools and was a graduate of Holyrood High School. She later attended two years of business school. Marguerite married Edward Kelley in Holyrood, KS. She later married Warren Cowser in Topeka, KS. Marguerite was the housing director for the Federal Civil Service of the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Joyce Meyer Ministries, the Sterling Optimist Club, Whiteside County Senior Citizens Club, Christian Women"s Club, Sweet Adelines, the Transformation Station, the Simply Radiant Group, the Unity Church of Rogers, AR and was active in several of the church"s organizations. She was an avid fan of the University of Kansas Jayhawks. Marguerite was known to her family and friends as a caring and giving person and dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Jana Kelley of Sterling, IL; a granddaughter, Taylor Kelley of Lyndon, IL; a great grandson, Caiden Taylor of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, David Kelley in infancy and Scott Kelley; one granddaughter, Amanda Hoch; four sisters, Gertrude Nagel, Alice Kahler, Rovida Iler, and Pauline Rous; three brothers, Clarence Roland, and Derald Kahler.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home, 320 Lafayette Street, Prophetstown, IL OFFICIATING: Rev.
