Obituary for Marcia L. Ortega
MARCIA L. ORTEGA, 55, of Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at her home in Morrison. Marcia was born July 2, 1957, to Dale Arden and Phyllis Glendora (Dale) Crow, in DesMoines, IA. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and attended Morrison High School. She married Stanley Hicks in July of 1974, in Sterling, IL. She later married Rudolpho "Rudy" Ortega on September 28, 1991, in Morrison. Marcia was first employed by General Electric in Morrison, then Drives in Fulton, IL. Most recently she was employed by Happy Joe"s Pizza in Morrison. Marcia attended Crossroads Community Church in Morison. She enjoyed "garage boutiquing" and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Marcia also loved planting flowers. Survivors include her husband, Rudy; one daughter, Shannon Nehrkorn of Morrison; one son, Toby Hicks of Rock Falls, IL; her mother, Phyllis McCulloh of Urbandale, IA; six grandchildren, Kanyon Crady, River Ladd, Joeyanna Scott, twins Arabella & Addison Hicks, Forest Hicks; one sister, Brenda (John) Cavallo of Boca Raton, FL; two brothers, Daniel (Stacey) Crow of Cumming IA and Timothy McCulloh of DesMoines, IA. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Crow, and her mother-in-law, Guadalupe "Lupe" Munoz.
